You blushed and it took a moment to regain your thoughts. A man in sophisticated looking suit approached you. So far, everyone hadn’t given your painting or sculpture a second glance. You were an aspiring artist, hoping to sell some of your work at a gallery function. “What do you say I buy you a drink and we can trash-talk your ex?” “Sure thing,” you grinned. “I’m Y/N, by the way.” “Clint,” he said, extending his hand and you shook it. “I was expecting that myself,” you laughed. “Brother? If anything you’d expect ‘sister’.” A smile spread across your lips for the first time since getting ready for your wedding. “You know, you put in months of hard work into a relationship and what do you get? Your groom runs off with your brother,” you complained. I just wasn’t expecting a ‘Runaway Bride’ situation,” he grinned, his eyes flicking over your attire. “What the hell are you staring at?!” you snapped. Feeling a set of eyes on you, you turned to see a man smirking at you. And I deeefinitely cried while reading Kate’s letter at the end.Still in your wedding dress, you headed straight to the bar and ordered two shots of vodka, downing them immediately. I play piano so the piano puzzles are always super easy for me, now I know what it feels like for people who DON’T play the piano haha. And all the spy gadgets and stuff, even if it was a little excessive sometimes, it made the game fun and silly.

Like man those phone calls were terrifying. She sounded like Nancy would if she was a smoker or something.) Revenant was scary. I did really like all the characters though! And the memories of Kate (although it was really weird that Lani Minella did her voice. I don’t like when writers do stuff like that, because it seems like they’re trying to get us to like what they do by using cheap in-jokes rather than focusing on writing the story well. Like I get listening to fan complaints/suggestions and all that, but there were some parts (the ugly horse shirt reference and the mom jeans joke for example) that sounded like they read the clue crew tumblr tag and thought we would get all excited about it or something. It also bugged me that the game seemed to cater a lot to fans. Those two things resulted in me wandering around, talking to each character over and over trying to trigger the next event or figure out which puzzle I was supposed to solve next. Lately I’ve been having to use the solutions and hints way too often for it to be fun.

I got the clue about which words I needed, and I was all ready to write them down, but when I clicked on the page it was some jumble of letters that didn’t make words and didn’t make sense (I ended up having to use the solution for that one.) Not that I’m a super genius or something, but for the most part I’ve always been able to figure out all but one or two puzzles on my own. Another one that really confused me was the Jabberwocky poem. The cipher wheel gave me a lot of trouble because I forgot about the image in the archives, and the first hint SHOULD have been to check there, but it wasn’t? I think that image should have been in Kate’s notebook (oh my god there was so much back and forth in this game, that was frustrating too) instead of the “x8 x3 etc” that I never really figured out what it was for. The puzzles also aren’t necessarily too hard to figure out, but figuring out what you need to solve them is. In previous games, Nancy would have said “hmm, I better go talk to Bridget about this,” but in SPY I spent a large amount of time not triggering an event because I thought asking a character a question would be bad or reveal too much. Ever since Tomb of the Lost Queen, maybe a little bit Alibi in Ashes, the plot of the games just don’t seem to line up clearly most of the time. There were some parts of the game that I really really liked, but as a whole it was pretty good but not really one of my favorites.
